Rusty Johnson's 2002 BMW M3

E46的M3概念车，1999年发布于德国国际车展，第二年实车就开始登场。

在2000年至2006年间，一共生产了85744辆，外观设计师为Ulf Weidhase，内饰设计师为Martina Bachmann。

作为E46车型的M系列，E46 M3只有双门版和敞篷版，Coupe版本的车重为1549kg。

引擎方面，包括3.2L S54B32 L6、3.2L S54B32HP L6（红线转速高达8000转）、4.0L P60B40 V8三款，匹配的变速箱为6速Getrag手动和6速SMG-II Drivelogic，普通版本的E46 M3百公里加速时间也仅仅在5秒左右。

E46 M3还有更强大版本的E46 M3 GTR、E46 M3 CS和E46 M3 CSL等，如此强大的版本，这里就不做累述。

• Why did you choose this car?

Rusty: "This car was originally built by CraigLieberman for the movie Fast and Furious - Tokyo Drift. It wasn't used in thefilm because halfway through the filming of the movie, the plot was changed toa drifting plot and filming was moved to Japan where all the cars areright-hand drive. So, when I found out the car wasn't going to be called up forthe movie, I contacted Craig and bought it.

I've been a fan of BMW's for a long time. I telleveryone "my blood runs black and blue" (the colors of the BMWemblem). I've owned several BMW show cars but this one is the pinnacle of themall. Thus, I dubbed it the Uber M3 back in 2005 when I bought it."

Rusty: "The car is pretty much fully built. Andit's been meticulously maintained the entire time I've owned it. Plus, it onlyhas 87,000 actual miles on it"

• Is there anything you would have done differently ifyou could go back?

Rusty: "Not really. In my mind, as a long time BMW owner, this car ispretty much perfect. I've changed a few things with it along the way. Butthat's been designed to remain relevant in all the car shows I've attended (notbecause there was anything "wrong" with the original design of thecar)."
